We welcomed our first dog, a golden retriever named Benji, during the pandemic. His arrival marked the beginning of an entirely new chapter in our lives. From that moment on, our pace shifted. We started spending more time outdoors—walking trails, hiking through the hills, and camping under open skies. We searched for quiet, natural spaces where we could simply breathe and be together. That season of life not only made us better pet parents, it reminded us how to slow down and truly enjoy the present.

In 2021, we got tired of seeing pet treats filled with additives we couldn’t even pronounce. So, we started making our own simple, single-ingredient snacks for Benji. What began as a way to feed him better turned into our first little brand—Sniff N' Chew. We poured our hearts into it, but after moving to California in 2023 and facing challenges with sourcing and local production, we decided to press pause. It’s still close to our hearts, and we hope to bring it back one day when the time feels right.

Fast forward to 2025, after two years of life in California, we found ourselves even more in tune with the outdoors. But with the sunshine and nature comes something less welcome: fleas and ticks, all year round. As pet parents who’ve always leaned toward natural, chemical-free care, we realized we needed to do more to keep Benji protected.

I’ve always enjoyed sewing and had made a number of bandanas for Benji over time, just as a cute accessory at first. We’d been using repellent spray on his fur before walks, but one day we tried spraying it directly onto a bandana I’d sewn for him.

To our surprise, it actually worked better. The scent stayed longer, and it gave that extra layer of protection—especially around his neck and chest, where ticks tend to sneak in.

Just a few sprays on his bandana before heading out became part of our routine. And because we’d already put so much thought into the fabrics—soft, breathable, and chosen for their look and feel—it felt like a small but meaningful upgrade. Functional, natural, and beautiful.

It was in those everyday details that the seed for WildEase Pet really took root. We started thinking: what if we could make more things like this? Products that are gentle, practical, and inspired by the way pets actually live—half wild, half peaceful, always by our side.
